True meditation comes from reconnecting with the essence of what you are. You cannot know what you are, you can be what you are, in the natural state there is perfect bliss but we are more determined on clinging onto what we unconsciously know are impermanent images for philological security that doesn’t exist. Meditation is being aware of what is already there, allowing ourselves to rest is the natural silent self, a few tools we can use are, being aware on the breath, you can only have one breath at a time, just watch it in its natural rhythm, being aware of thought patterns then dropping them, we are already free, there is nothing to get. What do we really want? That is a question one must answer for themselves, desire and attachment are the causes of conflict.
